With Service Pack 2 for Microsoft Dynamics GP Audit Trails and Electronic Signatures, Microsoft released a host of new functionality designed to increase ease-of-use and effectiveness.

Audit Trails provides Microsoft Dynamics customers with track, trace and reporting capabilities for any changes associated with any data in Microsoft Dynamics GP, and for any data in third-party software or customized software resident within Dynamics GP. This includes information related to a change, such as time, date, and user, as well as the before data and after data values associated with
a change.

For Microsoft Dynamics GP users who require increased control over system changes, Electronic Signatures enforces dual signature authorization and the capture of reason codes and comments on your critical business documents.

New features in Audit Trails for Microsoft Dynamics GP:

Microsoft Dynamics SL 6.5 (formerly Microsoft Business Solutions–Solomon) empowers employees, managers, customers and partners to meet the challenges of change and growth — with new and enhanced features and benefits that increase effectiveness, extend functionality and offer capabilities to create a more cohesive work environment.

Major improvements to the Dynamics SL program include support for Role-based System Navigation, SQL Server 2005 and a new Purchasing Requisition Module.

Employees will benefit from new, friendly user interfaces that manage access to information related to specific job functions and allow them to enter requests directly into the system. Managers can look up items in inventory and approve or reject requests; they now have the capability to create and tailor standardized reports for precision decision-making. Customers will find solutions they need to improve their information and processes.
