License Agreement FAQ
What is a LICENSE AGREEMENT?
A license agreement, for software, means that the original developer of the software still continues to maintain and develop the software for a third party who sells and supports the application. For Audit Trails and Electronic Signatures, the license agreement with Microsoft is that Merit Solutions will continue to develop and maintain Audit Trails and Electronic Signatures, while Microsoft will provide sales and technical support.
What versions of Dynamics GP will Dynamics GP Audit Trails and Electronic Signatures be available for?
The functionality previously contained in Audit Trails and Electronic Signatures for Microsoft Dynamics GP v8.0 and v9.0 will be released as the Microsoft licensed version of Audit Trails and Electronic Signatures. Audit Trails and Electronic Signatures versions 7 and 7.5 will continue to be sold and supported through Merit Solutions.
Are the names of Audit Trails and Electronic Signatures being changed?
Yes. The licensed versions of Audit Trails and Electronic Signatures will be released as Microsoft Dynamics GP Audit Trails and Microsoft Dynamics GP Electronic Signatures.
Dynamics GP Audit Trails and Dynamics GP Electronic Signatures will be available only for customers using Dynamics GP v8.0 and v9.0.
Can I still purchase Dynamics GP Audit Trails and Electronic Signatures for clients who have not upgraded to Dynamics GP v8.0?
You can still purchase from Merit Solutions v7.0 and v7.5 Audit Trails and Electronic Signatures. You will only be able to purchase Dynamics GP Audit Trails and Electronic Signatures v8.0 and v9.0 from Microsoft.
Will Dynamics GP Audit Trails and Electronic Signatures continue to be enhanced and developed?
Yes. Merit Solutions is still developing enhancements for Dynamics GP Audit Trails and Electronic Signatures. These enhancements will be released along with future releases of Dynamics GP.
What is the price of Dynamics GP Audit Trails and Electronic Signatures?
The price of Dynamics GP Audit Trails and Electronic Signatures is US $5000; Dynamics GP Electronic Signatures is US $4000. These prices are for unlimited users. Please refer to the latest Dynamics GP price list for more information.
