Numerical Algorithms Group (NAG) Goes Live with
Microsoft SharePoint Collaboration Portal

Wheaton, IL — January 12, 2010 — Merit Solutions, a 2009 Microsoft Dynamics President’s Club member and provider of Microsoft Dynamics business applications, is proud to announce the successful go-live of Numerical Algorithms Group’s (NAG) new Community Site based on Microsoft SharePoint technology. While NAG’s headquarters are located in Oxford, UK, it is a distributed enterprise with several locations around the globe. To be able to deliver high-quality computational software on a repeatable, consistent basis, NAG recognized the need to encourage two-way communication and increase collaboration with members of the organization.

After building an in-house web portal to store mission-critical material of interest, it soon became clear that their formal portal wasn't designed or structured in a way that would allow them to follow best practices for information sharing. Realizing this was beyond the abilities of internal IT staff, NAG turned to their Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, Merit Solutions, for assistance.

In addition, SharePoint provided a familiar user interface that was easy to use and understand, which could facilitate collaboration and speed user adoption.
